Less than three months after resigning as governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, the onetime vice presidential candidate, has completed her memoir.
HarperCollins Publishers, which signed a multi-million dollar deal with Ms. Palin in May, said in a statement on Tuesday that it had moved up the publication date from the spring of 2010 to Nov. 17 of this year.
The book will be titled “Going Rogue: An American Life”; the publisher has announced a first-print run of 1.5 million copies. Ms. Palin worked with a collaborator, Lynn Vincent, the editor of World, an evangelical magazine.
I wonder if Lynn Vincent also writes Palin’s Facebook updates.
Reaction to the early release? Funny and predictable:
“Harper … has moved the release date up from the spring to November 17. That gives Palin followers just less than two months to learn how to read.”—Faded Youth
To be fair, it takes more than a couple of months to learn how to read. But that’s seriously good disingenuous snark.
“I’ve come to learn that if Palin is involved in anything in any way, shape, or form, then the chance of batshit insane things happening increases exponentially. Even if it’s her dictating her “life story” to a ghostwriter. She is like the King Midas of batshit crazy.”—Balloon Juice
Indeed. Something tells me that Palin’s book release will be surrounded by all kinds of strange drama. And the book will likely contain dozens passages that are objectively false, but the GOP base will latch on to those falsehoods as if they were the words that Moses brought down from the mountain. And then she will cancel the book tour or Todd will file for divorce during the book tour. I can’t wait to see what’s next!
“The world will discover the true Sarah Palin and the truth to which we have not heretofore had access. She will give the public her own unfiltered message—untainted by the likes of the agenda-ridden mainstream media. You might want to get in line now.”—Sarah’s Web Brigade
Right. Sarah will finally tell the truth. I wonder what shape her attacks on McCain will take.
“Sarah Palin finishes memoir, a 400 page pop-up book. Comes with free Crayons, Palin-English dictionary, aspirin.”—Muck Rack
Way too easy of a shot.
“I guess ‘Goin’ All Mavericky’ was taken?”—Beach Peanuts
Heh! Also, too.
“Remember how I have been warning that she was going to be free to roll around the country like a loose cannon? Well, that time has come upon us, just in time for the 2010 campaign stumping.”—God’s Own Party?
Exactly! If she doesn’t cancel her book tour, her appearances will be a lot of fun for anyone of any political stripe!

Thank you for the link mention! I am one of a handful of researchers working to expose the entire Political Dominionist Movement, and our time has come for this.
Palin is their “Poster Gal” and will not being stopping anytime soon. They took over the GOP in the 70s-80s and it is time for secular Republicans to take their Party back!
Watch for the Zondervan Christian Publishing version of this farce to appear near Christmas…she is dumb like a fox.
